In April 2013, the Privy Council Chamber of the United Nations building in New York, also known as the Finn Juhl Chamber, reopened after a major restoration.
'Finn Juhl at the UN - a Danish masterpiece in New York' tells the story of the bringing to life of this piece of Danish cultural heritage. About Finn Juhl's work in furnishing the hall, about the restoration itself and about the design duo Salto & Sigsgaard's design of modern furniture for the restored hall.
The book is written by Karsten R.S. Ifversen, author and architecture editor at Politiken, and Birgit Lyngbye Pedersen, business historian and Finn Juhl expert. American architect and author Michael Sheridan has written the foreword.
'Finn Juhl at the UN - a Danish masterpiece in New York' is richly illustrated with historical illustrations and newly taken photos by Hans Ole Madsen. The book is published with the support of Realdania, the Danish Agency for Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
