Fritz Hansen's PM-02 table lamp, the latest addition to the Planner series of relaunched designs from the 1950s by the now-deceased American designer Paul McCobb, emulates minimalism and has a distinctly Scandinavian style. The thoughtful, practical design is proof that the simple can also be beautiful, and spreads the light from a screen in mouth-blown, opal glass, which gives a warm and evocative glow. The three-legged base in glossy brass or black powder-coated steel provides an elegant contrast to the tall, cylindrical screen.
