Piet Hein Bar Armchair

ThePiet Hein Bar Armchair was first completed in 1968. The great cultural personality and furniture designer Piet Hein spent almost a decade perfecting the design for the chair, which was to be a companion to his iconic Superellipse table. The chair never made it to the market, but in close collaboration with the Hein family, Sibast Furniture has now put this highly elegant dining chair into production.

ThePiet Hein Bar Armchair is a direct descendant of the Superellipse table. The famous elliptical shape, which in many ways testifies to Piet Hein's mathematical genius and scientific approach to harmonious design, is in this elevated version modified to fit human proportions. A slight curve in the backrest and seat gives the chair a fantastic seating comfort without provoking the iconic elliptical shape, while a high frame with armrests gives the chair a relaxed bar look.

• Material Frame and armrests in chrome-plated or black steel with seat in black lacquered oak, clear lacquered oak or walnut veneer. The chair is delivered as standard without dupsko, but can be added free of charge on request.
• Care instructions For daily cleaning of the furniture, use a slightly damp cloth without the use of detergents or chemicals. For thorough cleaning, a wood cleaner adapted to the surface treatment of the furniture is recommended.
