Sibast No.9 Dining Chair was designed in 1953, which was the most productive year of furniture architect and cabinetmaker Helge Sibast. Since then, Sibast No.9 has not been in production for over five decades, but it has now been included in the Sibast Furniture collection, where it contributes to the story of a furniture architect who constantly strived to create an authentic and refined expression. Helge Sibast worked to create the best chair, making countless sketches and fine-tuning both craftsmanship and design to achieve the optimum design.
Sibast No.9 is still a modern and stylish dining chair with a floating seat and front legs, featuring the iconic y-design. This design element gives the chair a sleek and dynamic look that changes according to the viewer's perspective. The Y-shape is a distinctive part of Sibast Furniture's DNS and adds a recognisable personality to the sun. Sibast No 9 is produced with the highest quality craftsmanship and is made from FSC® certified wood and fabrics as well as the highest quality leather.
Sibast No.9 Dining Chair is available in a selective range of fabrics and leathers. If a specific upholstery or textile of your choice is required, please contact us by phone or email.
- Material Made of soap-treated, natural oiled, white oiled, dark oiled, white pigmented, black lacquered or smoked FSC certified oak with seat in desired upholstery. The chair is supplied without a duplex shoe as standard, but can be added free of charge on request.
- Care instructions For daily cleaning of the furniture, use a slightly damp cloth without the use of detergents or chemicals.
