The 'EJ50' sofa, designed by Erik Jørgensen Studio, known for its classic and functional sofas. The sofa is another modern classic that embraces Erik Ole Jørgensen's original design that was particularly characterized by his sense of materials, compositions and high level of detail. Over his years as a furniture architect, he has built up a large portfolio of different sofas, but 'EJ50' stands out in particular with its cubist design. Every single shape and component has a function and superfluous details have been removed to create an aesthetically calm expression for the eye.
The seat of the sofa is designed with clean lines in mind. A cubist shape is created by making the back and armrests remain at the same height and creating cushions in matching rectangular shapes. The right proportions have comfort in mind but are especially ideal in conversational environments where the sofa can easily be combined with the 'EJ50 Club Chair'. Upholstered in the finest leather, the sofa truly showcases Erik Jørgensen's flair for quality materials and, in turn, Fredericia Furniture's ability to process the material with world-class craftsmanship.
The 'EJ50' is available in a wide range of Aniline, Semi-Aniline and Nubuck leathers in various colours. If you would like to design your own 'EJ50' piece of furniture, please feel free to contact us by email or phone.
- Brushed stainless steel frame and wood blind frame seat with nozag springs. Cushions in solid and foam core with down spring, upholstered in your choice of leather.
- When cleaning Aniline leather, daily cleaning with a dry cloth is recommended. In case of stains, a slightly damp cloth without detergent can be used. Otherwise, it is recommended to leave the stains and thus wear out with the years. Avoid using detergents or sharp objects to protect the surface.
- When cleaning Semi-aniline leather, a damp cloth without detergent is recommended for daily cleaning. In case stains are recommended to leave them and thereby wear down over time, as part of the patina, or a wet cloth can be used. Avoid using detergents or sharp objects to protect the surface.
- When cleaning steel, a dry cloth or a cloth heavily wrung in a mild soap solution is recommended. Then polish with a dry soft cloth. Stubborn stains should be removed with alcohol. Never use solvents, as these can damage the paintwork.
