With roots back in China's Yuan dynasty in the 14th century, the Shanghai chair is a modernization of the so-called "Horseshoe chair", characterized by the curved shape of the armrest. The chair's elegant and historic shape is displayed in the wide seat and sleek wooden components, which are made of modern materials but shaped with respect for traditions and carpentry.
