Jasper Morrison designs all of his furniture based on the philosophy; "Discreet objects are better for creating a good atmosphere than conspicuous ones." The Pon series is a perfect example of this, with their sculptural design having a strong character, yet being humble in its size. The rest of the tables in the range were created as alternatives to large coffee tables, but model 1295 occupies the space beautifully. Here it is not the size that makes the furniture discreet, but rather the design.

The table is constructed from three simple components, which together create a symmetrical design. The top and bottom are finished in a rounded button design with a flat-finished surface that creates stability. The tops hug a single post, giving the table its height, but also unifying the table in its sculptural design.

• Available in soap-finished, black lacquered or smoked oak.
• For cleaning lacquered wood, a mild solution of soap flakes or all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Then polish with a dry soft cloth. Never leave liquids on lacquered wood surfaces as this may cause the lacquer to delaminate.
• When cleaning soaped and untreated a soft cloth, heavily wrung in a mild solution of soap flakes. Always wipe in the grain direction of the wood. Never use water on untreated wood surfaces if it can be avoided.
