Panton One Chair was the very first chair Verner Panton designed for his design portfolio in 1955. The chair clearly reflects Panton's character and design philosophy, designed with exceptional comfort and unique illusions in mind. The simple contours of the chair with stretched cords in a monochrome design, give the chair a sketch-like look while ensuring a unique and comfortable seating experience.
The chair is made with a stainless steel frame that has a semi-gloss finish and is specially designed for outdoor use. The durable material is resistant to cold and rain, adding a whole new dimension of functionality to the Panton One Chair as garden furniture.
- Materials Base made of stainless steel with seat made of polyurethane cords or FSC paper.
- Specifications Polyurethane seat suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. However, it is recommended to store the furniture in a dry place during winter periods. Please note that chairs with seat in FSC paper are particularly vulnerable and should therefore never be used outdoors. The chair will eventually patina with use and the FSC paper will change colour. As FSC paper is a natural material, variations in appearance and thickness may occur.
- Care instructions Panton One is immediately maintenance free, but can be wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid using soap, chemicals or oils on the seat as this will damage the material. Be aware that direct sunlight can bleach the cords of the chair and cause a faded colour. If stains appear on an FSC paper seat, the stain should be absorbed with a soft cloth or cleaned with a mild neutral soap solution.
- Design Original design by Verner Panton, produced by Montana (1955).
