The 'Mogensen 22 Collection' is the epitome of Børge Mogensen as both designer and artist, but has also become the image of Danish design in the mid-20th century. The series encapsulates Mogensen's unique sense of proportion, which has been the cornerstone of the furniture's versatility throughout his life. Everyday people and their lives were the focus of Børge Mogensen's furniture design, and in the '22 Collection' in particular, the aim was to create the ultimate sofa. First, the '2213' model was created for Mogensen's own home in 1962, and shortly afterwards the series expanded into a wide range of sofas, armchairs and ottomans. Mogensen's uncompromising approach to furniture quality has become the heart of Fredericia Furniture, maintaining the spirit of originality in their production through carpentry by hand. This unique craftsmanship ensures the furniture its long life, taking on a completely personal patina that only becomes more beautiful with the years.
The ottoman's design echoes the other furniture in the range with its tightly upholstered seat, complimented with a soft elegant cushion. The small piece of furniture is the perfect addition to the living room, whether it's in extension of the 'Club Chair' or alongside one of the classic sofas. The ottoman adds an extra dimension of comfort with the option to rest your legs or as extra seating in the living room.
The 'Mogensen 22 Collection' is available in a wide range of leather types as well as wood finishes. If you would like to design your own 'Mogensen 22' piece of furniture, please feel free to contact us by email or phone.
