Jasper Morrison designs all his furniture based on the philosophy; "Discreet objects are better at creating a good atmosphere than conspicuous ones." The Pon range is a perfect example of this, with its sculptural design having a strong character, yet humble in its size. The tables were created as alternatives to large coffee tables, which often dominate the interior and take the focus away from the other furniture. The Pon range retains the functionality of the coffee table but sorts out the unnecessary size. This also gives the furniture more possibilities in the home, where its discreet size makes it flexible in its design and adaptation to smaller spaces.

The table is constructed from three simple components, which together create a symmetrical design. The top and bottom are made with a rounded button design with a flat-finished surface that creates stability. The tops hug a single post, giving the table its height, but also unifying the table in its sculptural design.

• Available in soap-finished, black lacquered or smoked oak.
• For cleaning lacquered wood, a mild solution of soap flakes or all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Then polish with a dry soft cloth. Never leave liquids on lacquered wood surfaces as this may cause the lacquer to delaminate.
• When cleaning soaped and untreated a soft cloth, heavily wrung in a mild solution of soap flakes. Always wipe in the grain direction of the wood. Never use water on untreated wood surfaces if it can be avoided.
