CPHFW: Byflou in Copenhagen
8.40 - Take off
With tired eyes and a much-needed cup of coffee, we arrived early at the airport in Copenhagen, followed by a short Metro ride towards Kongens Nytorv. Caroline and Luna first met up with Sisse, who had already spent two days at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
10.00 - Baum und Pferdgarten
Baum und Pferdgarten's showroom was located in a truly elegant Copenhagen apartment, with beautiful original elements, combined with Baum und Pferdgarten-style animal print furniture and walls covered with photoshoot images of the latest AW24 collection. After a brief introduction to the new collection 'LOVE UND FRIENDSHIP', which this year honours Baum und Pferdgarten's 25th anniversary, we explored the showroom. A large industrial metal construction displaying some of the beautiful items from the collection and a long table with refreshments was placed in the centre of the charming space, while every wall was covered with racks of pieces from the collection and screens with campaign videos.
12.00 - Lunch at FIAT Trattoria
After a short walk up through Strøget and a bit of window shopping, we headed for FIAT Trattoria. A beautiful spot on Kongens Nytorv that exudes Italian charm and rustic Italian cuisine. Surrounded by antiques, dark herringbone parquet and walls covered with hand-painted tiles, we enjoyed our lunch here.
14.00 - GANNI
Standing on Nikolaj Plads, close to Kongens Nytorv, you are greeted by a classic church construction, which this year houses GANNI's new collection. Nikolaj Art Gallery has been reconstructed into an art gallery, with a stylish café and bar in the entrance hall and a large church room with space for various art exhibitions. Here we were first greeted by GANNI's main exhibition, this year created in collaboration with upcoming designers selected by GANNI, under the name 'Future Talent Fabrics'. Unique showpieces made with exceptional craftsmanship and innovative textiles, act as a welcoming committee for GANNI's own AW24 collection. In the large church space, with another much-needed cup of coffee in hand, we walked around and studied the latest styles presented in simple artistic style.
15.00 - CIFF
Copenhagen International Fashion Fair is the epicentre for everything fashion, beauty, shoes and accessories. We headed straight from GANNI's showroom to the Bella Centre, which houses everything from small upcoming brands to some of the biggest players on the fashion scene. Here we got carried away by the unique bazaar atmosphere, where hundreds of brands were lined up side by side, and even had a little chat with some of our fellow brands.
18.00 - Home Sweet Home
Enriched by impressions and inspiration, we left Sisse, Nadia and Nanna in Copenhagen for more Copenhagen Fashion Week while we headed to the airport. Here we waited for our flight, with sore legs and the last much-needed cup of coffee of the day.
