Kubus Centerpiece

The Kubus Centerpiece, like the rest of the Kubus series, has become a modern icon. The design of the candle holder has been iconic in Danish design ever since 1962 when Mogens Lassen designed this contemporary candle holder in true funky style.

The Kubus candle holder is available in many colors and several different sizes.

• Cleaning black, white and nickel-plated: Turn the candle holder upside down and place it on a baking sheet with baking paper on top of the candle holders. Place in a 75 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Then wipe the candle holder with a damp cloth.

• Copper cleaning: This color is as true to the original candle holder as possible. It was originally made in black-browned copper. Over time, the candlestick will patina, tarnish and turn green, just like the beautiful old copper roofs in Copenhagen. The copper will patinate beautifully over time. Use Brasso for copper, without abrasive grain, if you still want to clean the candlestick.

• Cleaning brass: Untreated brass-coated metal. The brass will patinate beautifully over time. Wipe with a cloth.

The Kubus and Line candle holders, as well as the Kubus Bown, made of metal, are all hand polished and therefore the finish on each product will not be uniform. All candle holders are made of metal with either a heat-resistant lacquer or coated with Nickel, Copper or Brass. These are materials that will acquire a beautiful patina over time. You can polish with polish on copper and nickel if necessary, but we do not recommend polishing the brass products.
