Designed by Danish design icon Hans J. Wegner, the GE290 is part of Wegner's most renowned collections, which include both armchairs and sofas. The plank chair - as it is also known colloquially - is a product of Wegner's eternal experiment to create the ultimate chair for relaxation. The proportions of the model have been adjusted over the years to suit the modern man. As a result, the chair has a higher seating height, but still the same relaxing seat depth that provides a luxurious lounge experience.
Characteristic of Wegner's designs - and not least the GE290 - is the unique carpentry. The chair materials are worked and crafted with the utmost care, creating not only a quality that can last for generations, but also a certain aesthetic and charisma to the chair as a whole.
The GE290 is available in a wide range of selected Getama fabrics and leathers, as well as unique wood treatments and stains. If you have specific requests or questions about the chair's appearance or price, please contact us by email or phone.
