KIMPOP x Montana - When design meets personality

With love of color as the common ground
KIMPOP is a design universe created by Sofie Linde and Joakim Ingversen. Known from the media industry and especially their popular series 'Linde on Langeland', KIMPOP encapsulates their love for colorful and bold interior design. Their philosophy is simple: design should be fun, unpredictable and personal - an approach that breaks with tradition and brings joy into everyday life.

Behind the scenes: The inspiration behind KIMPOP x Montana
The collection is an explosion of color, with carefully selected shades balancing between soft pastels and powerful statement colors. Montana has long been a source of inspiration for the KIMPOP duo, and the collaboration feels like a natural fit. Montana and KIMPOP share a passion for color and playful design. Montana has been at the forefront of flexible design solutions and bold color choices for decades, while KIMPOP adds a fresh and quirky twist. Together, they create furniture that not only fills the room, but gives it character and energy.

The idea behind the collection was to transform six of Montana's most iconic designs; SHOW, SHELFIE, DRESSER, DREAM, DASH and BOX. Each side of the cubist furniture had to be painted with a unique color from Montana's well-known color palette. The composition and combination of colors is a stroke of genius from the KIMPOP duo, who manage to create a completely new and personal expression of Montana's iconic design history.

Byflou at the KIMPOP x Montana launch event
Byflou's marketing team was present at the launch of KIMPOP x Montana, where Sofie Linde and Joakim Ingversen presented the collection together with Montana CEO Joakim Lassen. Lassen shared his excitement about the collaboration and invited guests to experience Montana's unique production process:
"Everyone should go and visit the Montana factory to see how much we make ourselves! We even fold the cardboard boxes ourselves."
It was clear that Montana and KIMPOP have found a natural match in their shared love of color. Joakim Lassen even told how his father was close friends with Verner Panton - known as Denmark's king of colors - which has had a great influence on Montana's color universe.
