'Beak Bird' is designed by Danish Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen, who is best known for his amazing skills in lamp design, but this beautiful design treasure also shows his skills in woodwork. Characteristic of Holm-Sørensen's designs is his ability to bring personality to sculptural designs that still have a sophisticated and timeless design. 'Beak Bird' is no exception, with its personality-filled expressions all created from a single piece of teak wood and balancing on a base of lacquered oak. The unique construction results in a piece of unicum, so no bird is the same either in expression or pattern, meanwhile the wood will patinate and give character to the bird over time.
